Product Description

H&S Autoshot® UNI-8000 Hot Melt Plastic Welder System could be compared to Dent Fix® DF-800BR but it is more powerful and offers additional plastic repair functions for the automotive professional. The 115-volt hand-held gun provides 300 watts of output power so the technician can quickly and effortlessly imbed the unique "V"-scored break-away stainless steel staples at settings and reflow the plastic over the staples with the melt-knife attachment. With the blade attachments, it becomes a plastic cutting and/or plastic rod melting tool.

The four styles of exclusive V-score stainless steel N-Clip, M-Clip, V-Clip & Z-Clip hot staples, allows the legs to cleanly break-off, below the top surface of the repaired plastic, with just a twist of a standard pliers. Other system require a dike-cut of this harden steel wire that results dis-lodging the staple and sharp legs extending up through the repair area.

The final repair step requires the re-flow of plastic over the staples to secure them in place and the Plasti-Weld system is the only tool on the market with the power to drive the melt knife attachment. Other systems, that do not have adaquate power, offer a cheap "soldering gun" to melt the plastic.
